We released version 1.8.0 of our wordpress plugin that now supports localization of Amazon short URLs (Amzn.to) just as well as it did for the full Amazon links.
Additionally, the service now also validates the URL before forwarding the visitor – in case the product page is not available in a certain geo, the visitor is then forwarded to a search page, or to the homepage (if search term cannot be identified).
