Here are the top few reasons why BestAzon may not be work for you
- Incomplete configuration
- Why: BestAzon needs to know your Amazon affiliate IDs to redirect the traffic and include those.
- What to do: Provide your Amazon Affiliate IDs in the Azon settings (in your wordpress Dashboard under setttings –> BestAzon)
- Links in Iframe (e.g. astore)
- Why: BestAzon works by replacing the click action on links and thus needs access to those links. Due to security considerations, most browsers do not allow accessing the elements in an Iframe – thus any links that are loaded in a frame will not be “loaclized”, unless they are on the same domain. The most common case is Amazon astores. Amazon aStore load in an iframe, and thus aStore links cannot be modified.
- What to do: You cannot really do much. That’s how life is!
- Amazon Native Ads
- Why: There is no real reason, except that we have not gotten around to coding the Native Ads in the plugin yet. This is definitely a feature we want to build in, so keep an eye on updates!
- What to do: Wait and watch this space.
- Javascript blocking
- Why: BestAzon needs javascript to work. So if your visitor have javascript blocked for any reason, BestAzon will not work
- What to do: JavaScript blocking is pretty rare in today’s world (less than 1% of visitors block JS). So we don’t expect this to be too frequent an issue. There is nothing much you can do as Javascript is client side
Hi. Just installed your plug-in but it seemingly doesn’t work. My question is, does it also work on shortened Amazon URLs, like http://amzn.to/etc.? All of my existing links are shortened to “amzn.to/1asdfasdfasdfasdf” and I’m wondering if your plug-in picks that up and localizes them? Thank you.
Hi Emma,
Thanks for the comment, and apologies for delayed response. That happened because you had left a comment in instead of posting it on support forums.
In any case, BestAzon currently localizes only full Amazon links and not the shortened ones. For redirecting visitors to the right page on international stores, we need to know the details which the shortened amzn.to URL hides.
Its technically possible to track the shot URL and find out the details, but that is something that is not available on bestAzon as of now. That capability is certainly on the roadmap and should be available soon.
In the meanwhile, you can upgrade to the latest version 1.7.0 that will leave the amzn.to links untouched, while localizing the full Amazon URLs. You can also consider using full Amazon links instead of short ones if you would like to take advantage of localization.
Regards,
Quick update on this Emma.
We have just released version 1.8.0 of the BestAzon plugin for wordpress that now supports localization of Amazon short URLs too (amzn.to). Hope that works out for you.
Hi, I am using the Amazon Native Shopping Ads and I dont think it is working 🙁
Thats correct Marcus.
The plugin does not work on Native ads as of now. We are working on it and hopefully should have that functinality soon.
The complexity (if you are intersted), is that Native ads are loaded asynchronously after the main page loads and Amazon has scripts to block other scripts to act on the Native ad widgets. As a result, the BestAzon script (or any other script available today) cannot process it as it is. We have thought of a way to make it work, but that’s a bit complex and may take a few weeks to materialize.
Stay tuned, and thanks for using!
hi. Thanks for the plug-in. It does not seem to be working for me. I’ve added my ID for amazon.co.uk but clicking my links (I’m in Ireland) still brings me to amazon.com, whereas anyone in Ireland shops in amazon.co.uk.
Thanks David.
Yeah, that’s expected behavior (as of now). All visitors who have a local Amazon store are directed to the local store. If not, they are directed to the original URL.
What you are saying does make sense – we still need to compile the mapping of countries to respective Amazon stores. After that, IR users can be directed to UK.
Having said that, visitors from countries that do not have an Amazon store are less than 5% as per our current traffic pattern. I won’t worry too much about that. If you are targeting Ireland market, you can use the co.uk urls and the visitors will be directed to UK store if they are from any country not having its own Amazon store.
Apologies for the late response – your comment got stuck in spam!
I installed BestAzon 2 days ago and don’t see any difference of changes. There is no any links or products added on my site. Please advise. thanks!
Hi Andy.
This plugin is for localizing your Amazon links, and not for creating any products/links.
Specifically, if you have any amazon link on your site and a visitor clicks on that, he/she will be taken to their local Amazon stores instead of the amazon.com store.
This plugin will not create any Amazon links for you. Hope that makes sense?

Can this work with contentegg plugin??
We are told that bestazon does work with Contentegg. However we do not collaborate with the Contentegg team and cannot guarantee that the two plugins will not conflict. Try it on your website and if it does not work, you can always uninstall.
Hi,
I installed BestAzon wordpress plugin, and followed every step of the instruction, checked the settings, but it dosen’t work for me at all.
Please help me out,
Arthur
Hi Arthur,
Thanks for sharing the trouble you were having with the plugin.
Please update your BestAzon plugin to the version 3.4 (released just today) – that should work. The version 3.4 onwards will be compatible with fully SL website like yours (https).
Thanks again, and do let us know if you face any problem,
Now, it works smoothly, GREAT JOB!
It’s not working for me. I publish my Amazon links using Pretty Link in the format domainname.com/books/productname. I added the slug /books/ in BestAzon settings.
The Amazon link entered into Pretty Link is for the US store. I’ve tested the link from Spain and the UK, but neither of them get redirected. They all point to the product in the US store and are not localised to their local store.
Can you please advise what I’m doing wrong?
Thanks Trish.
We just looked at tyour website, and cannot see any problem.
For example: on page https://unwritetherules.com/find-your-passion/ – there is link to “https://unwritetherules.com/books/so-good-they-cant-ignore-you” under text “So Good They Can’t Ignore You”.
When we click this link from Canada (using a VPN service), we are correctly taken to ca store and when we click without VPN, it takes us to us store.
That is expected behavior and seems like its working fine. Can you provide an example where it is not working?
R
Well that’s very strange. I just tested again after reading your reply and it’s now working for me too! All I can guess is perhaps there was something wrong with my VPN the first day I tested. Thanks for replying!
Thanks for the confirmation.
Yes, the VPN’s can be somewhat iffy. We recommend to use ipinfo.io to confirm your location before you test BestAzon.
Anyways, glad its working out for you. If you have 2 minutes, please consider providing a review at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/bestazon/reviews/ – that helps us make the service scale and thus invest more effort in supporting it.
Thanks much!

I’ve just installed your plugin through the WordPress dashboard for my site. I added affiliate link codes for three countries, then chose “Yes” for both “Open Links in New Window” and “Make links no-follow for SEO”.
When I add an Amazon.com link to a page on my site, the link isn’t altered in any way. It’s not given a target; it’s not tagged “nofollow”; and my Amazon affiliate code isn’t appended to the link.
I reset all the Advanced Options to their defaults, just to be sure, and the plugin is still doing nothing at all.
I’ve had slightly better results by disabling the plugin and using the Javascript from your site, instead: now the link is targeted, and it’s tagged for nofollow, but I still don’t get the affiliate IDs I entered.
The TrackID=&clickID= parameters are still empty.
Aaaaaaaaand now it seems to be working. Why? I have no idea.
Hi Bradley,
Glad to hear that its working now. Though a bit confused why it did not work the first time.
Are you now using the wordpress plugin, or the script?
R
I stuck with the script, since that was giving me the best result. It’s also nice to be able to use it on non-WordPress pages.
Hi there, just installed Bestazon on a wordpress site. However, it doesn’t seem to be working.
I added affiliate link codes for few countries we are registered.
To test if the plugin is working, I added an Amazon.com link to a page on my site (and I am based in the UK). When i clicked on the link, the link isn’t altered in any way and I got the following error:
We’re sorry. The Web address you entered is not a functioning page on our site.
Go to Amazon.co.uk’s Home Page
Please help!
Hi Engin,
Thanks for trying BestAzon.
Can you please provide an example and your site URL? Its a bit difficult to troubleshoot the issue without knowing specifics.
From the description you have provided, it seems that the links are redirected to the UK . What might be happening is that UK store does not carry that specific ASIN. To resolve this issue, you can perhaps use a more descriptive link (e.g. use https://www.amazon.com/PRODUCT-NAME/dp/ASIN instead of https://www.amazon.com/dp/ASIN) . If you do this, the plugin will instead search for the product name and return results instead of showing the not-found page.
If that does not work, please provide us with more details.
Cheers!
Hello there,
I installed my BestAzon plugin 2 wks ago and I still can’t seem to get it to work….at least I don’t think it’s working. I did not change anything in my settings other than put in my Amazon affiliate ID’s.
I have installed the tunnel bear and changed my location to the US (I’m in CA), then tested on dnsleaktester.com and it showed that I was “located” in the US. I then went to one of my “buy” link/button (HTML code is CA) on my website and it directed me to the CA Amazon site. Isn’t this where the BestAzon plugin would redirect me to the US Amazon site?
I have put a CA Amazon “buy” link as well as a US Amazon “buy” link on a couple of posts and tried both using tunnel bear and neither one of them redirects me.
I’m not tech savvy AT ALL so I’m guessing I have missed something but I haven’t the faintest clue as to what that is.
Hi Amanda,
Thanks for trying BestAzon.
We checked your website – we think it is because you are only using Amazon provided banners and ads (loaded through their javascript) on your website. As mentined int he article above, BestAzon only localizes Amazon links that are loaded on your website without external javascripts.
To make BestAzon work and localize your Amazon links, you will need to create the links on your website instead of using Amazon javascript. It is super easy to do, and multiple research proves that those links provide better conversion rate than standard Amazon ads. Youc an simply insert a link by clicking the hyperlink icon on your wordpress editor and providing a URL.
Hope this helps. If not, please do let us know.

Hi,
I’m not sure BestAzon is working properly on my client website. It’s WordPress 4.3.10 with BestAzon Version 4.1. She uses short links, like this: http://amzn.to/2q66jXm — ID’s for US and UK stores are provided.
When the link is clicked in the UK it goes to ‘.com” instead of ‘co.uk’ –
Hi Alek,
Thanks for using BestAzon.
We wil look into it more, but at a high level, things seem to be fine to us.
On 5/11 – we received 43 clicks from the domain mkturnerbooks.co.uk, all of them from UK. As a result, the UK tag was used on all of those clicks even though the original url was from Amazon.com.
Today, on 5/12, we received 27 clicks from UK, a few from Poland and then for some other countries. All were handled as expected.
You can install BestAzon bundle on your Google Analytics and that should provide you with all these stats readily.
Let us know where exactly are you seeing a problem.

Team,
i am using “BestAzon – Localize Amazon Links” on my blog http://www.sharecareinspire.com since last 4 months, recently it stopped working, amazon links are not getting redirected to local amazon store.
can you please help.
Thanks,
Santosh
Hi sharecareinspire,
Thanks for using BestAzon.
Did you make any changes on your website recently (e.g. new plugin?)? Can you try to delete BestAzon and reinstall it again in case that helps?
Regards,
R
I’ve installed bestazon multiple times and still couldn’t get it to work on my site. I’ve added a post with links to test the plugin, but still no luck. The only link that’s working is the one I generated manually via your globalized link webpage. Could you please help me out?
Hello Vanessa,
Thanks for using BestAzon, and sorry to hear about your troubles! We will get that resolved.
Assuming your website is snapvegandaily.com, we think the problem is a script in your theme (seems like lightly) that is failing and causing all subsequent javascripts to not load.
Here’s a quick check you can try to confirm – revert back to the default theme (say twentyseventeen) and then try to reload the page. If the problem is with your current theme (as we think), the link should be localized.
If that check fails, we may need to dig deeper.
We look forward to hearing from you.
R
Hi R
Thanks! Changing the theme solved the issue!
I have come across another issue now that I’ve successfully installed BestAzon and implemented globalized links in my posts.
I’ve globalized for UK and US. I get my links from amazon.com for my posts – both texts and images. When I click my links (viewing from UK), they do take me to amazon.co.uk, but they often say “your search did not match any products”. I think the reason for that is because it automatically searches for an exact-match keyword phrase for the product that I’ve linked to.
Is there a way to shorten or manually input what amazon searches for when redirected?
Thank you for your help!
V
Thanks Vanessa. Glad its working for you now.
Sure, you can modify what Amazon searches for in case you are redirecting the visitor to a search page. In the original URL, you can structure them as follows:
http://amazon.com/YOUR-KEYWORD-HERE/dp/10-character-ASIN
Whatever you type in place of “YOUR KEYWORD HERE” is what the search term used by Amazon.
Hope that makes sense?
R
I tried best Azon for my site and entered in all of my affiliate accounts. However I can’t get it to show the nofollow tag nor can I get it to redirect properly with VPN.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Just for reference I tested it on this page:
http://infinitetranscendence.com/5-great-vitamins-and-minerals-you-should-start-taking/
Thanks again.
Thanks.
Something is wrong. While the homepage of your website does have bestazon code, it is not there on the specific page you mentioned (you can check that by seeing he page source).
I am assuming its a a wordpress site and you are using our plugin? Most likely some other plugin or cache is stopping the bestazon script to load on inner pages
Can you please try the following:
1. disable cache plugin(s)
2. Disable all plugins and reactivate one by one to see if one of them is causing any conflict
If above does not solve it, can you please send us an admin login and password on email (bestzon@outlook.com) and we can take a look?
Thanks much or trying bestazon,
R
Sorry, I had disabled it as I was testing out different things (you caught me right before I was going to jump in the bed). I have enabled the plugin now. Maybe you could see if it works for you now before I mess around with anything else?
It seems to be working fine to us. Please lt us know what problem do you face:
On page http://infinitetranscendence.com/5-great-vitamins-and-minerals-you-should-start-taking/
There is a link with anchor text “zinc oxide powder” that points to http://amzn.to/2v53qFL – as per your settings, the link has tag rel=”nofollow” (i.e no follow). The link also worked fine from US and CA.
What is the problem you are facing with the plugin?
I was using different things and I was using Amazon Onelink (I didn’t know it even existed but it does the localizing for US, UK, and Canada). I’m not sure when you tested everything but I’ve had it active for a couple of hours. I took your plugin out because I was testing it and seeing if I had interference.
Oddly enough when I click that link it still doesn’t take me to the Canada page. I always go straight to the Amazon.com page even with my VPN saying I’m in different cities.
Ok, it seems there are several different things happening with your blog.
Can you take off any other plugins/scripts (e.g. onelink) doing similr things? I can test it then and confirm if its working.
The no-follow tagging is working for sure as I confirmed earlier. Once you disable other scripts, I can confirm the geo redirection.
R
I removed the nofollow plugin and the OneLink.
Now you can go ahead.
