This article will explain how to check the Global Amazon Links generated by your BestAzon install (or a single link) is working as expected.
Steps:
- Check if the original link points to a valid URL. Paste the link in your browser and press enter. It should go to a valid URL (hopefully Amazon url, but not required). If not, your link is not valid.
- Install “TunnelBear” VPN on your chrome browser. Click on this link in your chrome browser. If you do not have Chrome browser (why!!) or if you don’t’ want to use a Chrome browser (again, why!), you will need to find other VPN services that allow you to use proxies to replicate as if the visitor is coming from another country.
- If you are testing a one off link generated using our online Amazon Link Globalizer, do the following:
- Go to the top right of your browser bar, and click on the TunnelBear icon
- Select the country you want to mimic (e.g. Canada), and ensure that the toggle is set to on “Connected”
- Ensure that TunnelBear is working correctly (it does not always!). Go to website http://ipinfo.io/ in a seperate tab and ensure that the webpage shows a location in the country you have selected. It normally should, but if not, change the country because TunnelBear is not resolving the country correctly.
- Paste the link in the browser bar. Press Enter in the browser bar
- Note the final URL in the browser bar. It should should show the Amazon URL for the applicable country and your Amazon Tag (if you have provided one for that country during the setup)
- Note: If your chosen country does not have an Amazon store of its own (e.g. Norway), you will be redirected to the nearest Amazon store (e.g. Germany).
- Also, the Amazon Tag used in the URL may not be there if you did not provide us with one for the country that the visitor was directed to (e.g. if you were directed to Amazon.ca, but did not provide your Amazon.ca associate tag). This is expected behavior.
- If you want to try other countries, you will need to repeat all the steps starting from step 1. Make sure to reload your site every time to load the new location information.
- Else if you are testing the automated Amazon Links generated using our WordPress plugin or the Javascript install, do the following:
- Go to the top right of your browser bar, and click on the TunnelBear icon
- Select the country you want to mimic (e.g. Canada), and ensure that the toggle is set to on “Connected”
- Ensure that TunnelBear is working correctly (it does not always!). Go to website http://ipinfo.io/ in a seperate tab and ensure that the webpage shows a location in the country you have selected. It normally should, but if not, change the country because TunnelBear is not resolving the country correctly.
- Enter the URL of your website where BestAzon is installed, and press Enter.
- Select any Amazon link on the page, and click on that link
- Note the final URL in the browser bar. It should should show the Amazon URL for the applicable country and your Amazon Tag (if you have provided one for that country during the setup)
- Note – that you may be redirected to original location store if your chosen country does not have an Amazon store of its own (e.g. Norway). Also, the Amazon Tag used in the URL may not be there if you did not provide us with one for the country that the visitor wa directed to (e.g. if you were directed to Amazon.ca, but did not provide your Amazon.ca associate tag). This is expected behavior.
- If you want to try other countries, you will need to repeat all the steps starting from step 1. Make sure to reload your site every time to load the new location information.
I loved BestAzon, but the dealbreaker is this! Please charge a one time fee for the plugin instead of 3 clicks for 100 clicks. Because you know what it’s a risky business model since you will be violating Amazon affiliate rules (intercepting the links) and your as well as customer’s Amazon account could be banned.
Just make the pricing simple, I will buy a one and get my SEO friends to buy as well. I am entirely sceptical about your current pricing model. It’s not worth for you guys too in the ling run to work in a shady business model.
Hello Naveen,
First of all – your suggestion is already done as of today. Check out this page
Having said that, I have to disagree with your choice of words (“shady business model”). There is nothing shady about it – we are very transparent about it. It is an accepted business model, and almost all of other services also do that to some extent.
Anyways, you should likely find the updated commercial model palatable.. please let us know if you have any suggestion.

I support this approach, this business model has allowed me to fully test the product with no immediate cost to myself, just a potential loss in my current earnings. I am now willing to pay for the product due to the success it has already shown me.
Great to hear that!
