At the core, BestAzon is pretty simple
- It detects any Amazon links on your website – this includes Amazon.com links as well as short links such as amzn.to, and any other short link you point it to (e.g. all URLs including the keyword “Amazon” or “buy” etc – as defined in the plugin configuration screen under wordpress admin)
- It then processes the URL as per your settings (i.e. new window open, nofollow tag, etc)
- It then redirects the Amazon links on your website to our service http://r.bestazon.io and includes information that enables BestAzon to process the click appropriately
- Our service then identifies the right Amazon web-store to send the traffic to, depending on the country of the visitor
- BestAzon also strips any Amzon Affiliate tag from the original URL and then includes country specific Associate Tag to the URL so that you get the commission for any sale generated out of the click. If you have not provided the Amazon associate tag for any country, we will simply use our Associate tag for that country since we don’t have your associate tag to use.
- BestAzon checks if the equivalent URL on the destination Amazon store is valid or not (not all products are available across all Amazon stores). In case the destination URL is found to be invalid, we convert the URL from a product specific URL to a search URL (e.g. instead of product ID B00UA4NJNG, the user will be redirected to an Amazon search page for “Amazon Echo and Fire TV Power Adapter” if that particular product ID was not found on a particular Amazon store). This ensures that your visitors do not see the 404 error page (sorry, the page was not found)
So, at the core, its pretty simple. The magic lies in your service that is able to dynamically detect the best Amazon store to direct the traffic to, detect the right page on those Amazon stores to provide your visitors a seamless experience, and automatically include your affiliate ID.
Its pretty simple really. Makes you wonder why it wasn’t done already!
Hi, maybe this is a dumb question, but all links on my page already are affiliate-links with my Germany affiliate ID in it.
Can the plugin also convert those links to international links if, let’s say for example, an American visitor clicks on a link on my page?
Basically I am asking if all links have to be “clean” direct Amazon links without any affiliate ID in it, in order for them to work.
Thanks!!
Frank
Yes, the plugin works for all Amazon links – irrespective of whether they have an affiliat ID or not.
e.g. if your link is amazon.de/xyzz….&tag=YOUR_GERMAN_TAG, and a visitor clicks on the link from US, he will be directed to amazon.com/…..&tag=YOUR_US_TAG
If the link is clean without any affiliate id – i.e. amazon.de/xyz… then it will be automatically converted to affiliate links for the visitor country. If the visitor is from Germany, the redirect link will be amazon.de/xyzz….&tag=YOUR_GERMAN_TAG and if he is from US, the redirect link will be amazon.com/…..&tag=YOUR_US_TAG
Please note that you need to provide BestAzon with the associate tag for the base country as well (e.g. Germany in your case). The service works by stripping the Affiliate Tag (if present) out of the URL and then adding a country specific Associate Tag – thus your associate tag included in the original URL is irrelevant – whats relevant is the associate tags you provide in the wordpress plugin settings (or if you are using the webservice without the wordpress plugin, in the webservice URL parameters).
Hi, i just discovered this plugin and I already love It.
I have two questions
– Can you add the option to do the redirect based on the first level domain? For example if I link a product that is only avaliable on the italian Amazon and it gets clicked by an American user, he would not find the product because there’s the redirect to amazon.com and not amazon.it.
-can you make the redirect for the comments, too disqus?
Thank you
Roberto
Thanks falybros, and sorry for the delayed response (damn spam blockers!).
1. The way we have implemented is – if you have an international visitor clicking the link, the service checks if the same ASIN is available in the country or not. If not, it converts the link to a search link and Amazon should throw list of other similar products. I am not sure I understand redirect based on first level domain. Can you say more about that?
2. Redirect for comments – yeah, we should do that. Stay tuned for next releases.

what if it is a banner click or recommended ads will it still send to the other country amazon?
Nick – BestAzon works for any amazon link that is hosted on your website (as against provided by other party through an iframe).
If you have a banner that has Amazon link on it, BestAzon would work. If the banner is hosted by Amazon (i.e. you are using the Amazon’s scripts to generate banner), it won’t.
As of now BestAzon does not work for native ads – that is because those are special ads served by Amazon and Amazon has made it a bit difficult to alter their behavior. However, we have figured out a solution and hopefully will be able to make it work for native ads too in future.
Hi
Does the plugin work with woozone and woocommerce.
Thanks
Dave
Hi Dave,
Yes, the plugin works with any setup where the AMazon links are on your website (and not hosted through iframe from amazon).
We do not monitor/ensure compatibility with all plugins – however, to the best of our knowledge, the plugin is compatible with Woozone and Woocommerce.

Hello,
I promote Amazon.com
Do I need to register for any other Amazon services like amazon UK, amazon Canada, ets and provide the respective affiliate id tags or all I need to do is to provide my affiliate id and when a german user click on it he will be redirected in his local store?
Does it work with amazon astore and does it work with amazon widgets (text+image) or only links?
thanks!
If you just want to redirect visitors, you do not need to do anything.
If you want to earn commission on the sale your visitors make on stores other than .com, you need to register for various associate programs. Its easy, and takes roughly about 5 minutes. Once you register, you need to provide your associate tags on the BestAzon configuration page so that we can add those to your links.
The plugin only works with Amazon links that are hosted on your website (i.e not through a iframe) as it is against the amazon ToS to change anything on the links hosted through them. So – no, the widget will not work for aStore links.
I also need Clarification on this point. I have signed up for amazon affiliate programme in India only, Do i Need global affiliate registration for each country to earn international traffic commissions from respective countries??? Please reply
Hello Rahul,
Amazon accounts for affiliate commissions individually by seperate stores – so yes, you will need to be registered with associate programs at various stores in order to get your affiliate tag, and to earn commissions.
BestAzon helps you by directing visitors to the right store, with the right affiliate tag. You do need the affiliate tag in order to earn commission – and only Amazon can provide you with that.
Hope that makes sense?
Hello there!
I just activated the plugin for Best Azon on WordPress. However, my site doesn’t seem to be responding. Does the plugin need a lot of time to localize all of the links?
Hi Alvin,
Thanks for trying BestAzon.
BestAzon should have worked right out of the box and does not require any preprocessing. So your issue seems to be one-off. Can you please let us know the website URL where you see this issue? We just checked ordinaryreviews.com and it does not seem that that site has the plugin installed.
Regards
Hey, my website is comeandbuythese.com. I removed the plugin as the website couldn’t load at all..
Hmnn.. not sure what is wrong.
We can try to resolve this.
It may help tremendously if you could put the plugin on for 5 minutes for us to see the console error logs and figure out where the problem is. Is that possible? If yes, please let us know an exact time-window when you can do that and we can take a look.
Thanks
Hi i have activated it. Please check it thanks!
Thanks Alvin.
We think we have figured out the problem – its a minor bug that may cause loading issues with a small proportion of sites. We will fix it and update you.
Thanks so much for your help!

Okay thanks. Hope to hear from you soon.
Hi Alvin,
The bug should be fixed now. Can you please reinstall BestAzon and check?
Please purge any caches you might have, and try opening it in a private window in case the prior javascript is cached by the browser.
Thanks ,
R
I’ve activated it. Is it working on your end? How do I know if my links are sending visitors to the right locations?
Something’s off – can you please send us the screenshot of your BestAzon settings page at bestazon@outlook.com?
Also, please uninstall and reinstall the plugin and purge all caches.

If I Sign Up For The Subscription; Can I Use BestAzon On All My Sites Or Do I Have To Have A Subscription Per Site…?
Thanks,
BestAzon subscription is per domain based. So, one subscription is valid for one site only.
Thanks For Your Reply.
Is There A Multi-Site Subscription Available?
As of now, we do not offer multi-site subscription – each subscription is tied to a specific web domain.
Hi I Want to ask that I have only One Affiliate ID i.e,. of India. I have not signed up for Amazon Affiliate in other countries (such as US). Do I need to sign up for Associate ID for every country or my Indian Affiliate ID WILL SUFFICE for earning Global Commissions
Please Guide..
Hello Rahul,
Amazon accounts for affiliate commissions individually by seperate stores – so yes, you will need to be registered with associate programs at various stores in order to get your affiliate tag, and to earn commissions. Your Indian Affiliate ID will let you warn commissions only for sales made from Amazon.in.
BestAzon helps you by directing visitors to the right store, with the right affiliate tag. You do need the affiliate tag in order to earn commission – and only Amazon can provide you with that.
Hope that makes sense?

How does subscription works, Single subscription for multiple domains or multiple subscriptions for multiple domains?
One subscription is for a domain. We do not have a multi domain subscription available yet.
Single subscription for a single domain. We do not yet offer multi domain subscriptions.
Does not seem to be working for me. I have the keywords set up and links for amazon products but it just shows me the links i put in.
Can you share the link where it is not working? We can help you once we know the details
